The Theory Reading Group
The Theory Reading Group brings together researchers from the Archimedes Unit of the Athena Research Center and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
The group focuses on the theoretical foundations of machine learning, algorithms and data, with an emphasis on rigorous mathematical analysis and provable guarantees. Topics include learning theory, algorithm design and analysis, algorithmic game theory and mechanism design, computational complexity, optimisation, and the theory of data-driven decision-making.
At each meeting, a member presents a recent paper or ongoing work, followed by open discussion. The group welcomes students, researchers and faculty interested in theoretical computer science and its connections to machine learning.
When: Every Wednesday, 13:45–15:00 (Athens time).
