Archimedes Welcomes our Post Doctoral Researchers

The ARCHIMEDES Research Unit of the ATHENA Research Center is pleased to announce its collaboration with nine (9) Post Doctoral Researchers. Our Post Doctoral Researchers will be conducting high level research in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Algorithms and will also be providing guidance, insight, talent and ideas to our PhD Fellows.

Two ARCHIMEDES Lead Researchers Prof. Ion Androutsopoulos, Professor at the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, and Prof. Stefanos Zafeiriou, Professor of Machine Learning and Computer Vision at Imperial College London, are featured in the February issue of the Newspaper of the Athens University of Economics and Business (OPA news), which was published in Vima newspaper on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Archimedes Joins Groundbreaking AI Initiative: CHAI Hub

ARCHIMEDES is pleased to announce its official membership in the newly founded CHAI Hub. This international consortium brings together universities, private companies, government entities, and regulatory authorities to collaboratively develop AI solutions alleviating pressure on healthcare systems. Led by Professor Sotirios Tsaftaris of the University of Edinburgh and Archimedes Lead Researcher, the initiative has received substantial funding—£12 million from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)—to pioneer advancements in AI for healthcare.
