Archimedes Members Have Received Two ERC Grants (2025–2026)

The Archimedes Research Unit of the Athena Research Center warmly congratulates Christos Tzamos and Christos Papadimitriou, whose work has been recognised with two grants from the European Research Council (ERC): Christos Tzamos received an ERC grant in 2025 for the COMFORMAL project, and Christos Papadimitriou in 2026 for the NEAGT project.
Christos Tzamos – COMFORMAL
Christos Tzamos (Archimedes Research Unit, Athena Research Center; University of Athens) leads the recently launched COMFORMAL project, which focuses on rigorous foundations for robust and efficient machine learning algorithms.
Christos Papadimitriou – NEAGT
Christos Papadimitriou (Archimedes Research Unit, Athena Research Center; Columbia University) will lead the NEAGT project, which will study strategic interactions and computational decision-making, opening new directions for algorithmic game theory.
Together, these projects highlight the excellence and international impact of the research community connected to Archimedes and the Athena Research Center.
