Athens Legal AI Hackathon 2025 Happening Right Now!

The Athens Legal AI Hackathon 2025 is taking place today, at the Archimedes Amphitheatre (1 Artemidos Street, 15125, Marousi, Archimedes, Athena Research Center, Greece). Legal experts, Archimedes junior researchers, and AI teams are tackling real-life challenges related to the EU AI Act, the creation of a Greek legal chatbot that provides reliable legal information to citizens without a legal background, and the multimodal AI analysis of recorded legal testimonials.

Some of the legal questions being addressed by the teams and AI models include:

What is the legal definition of an AI system? Which technological systems are excluded from the Regulation, and what are the obligations of general-purpose AI model providers?
● How can we build an AI chatbot that provides reliable information on topics such as residential and business leases, basic criminal law issues, and legal rights at work, including dismissals claims and employee compensation?
● Can we create an AI tool that analyzes recorded testimonies using textual, visual, and emotional analysis?

The Athens Legal AI Hackathon 2025 event is co-organized by Archimedes, Athena Research Center, Greece, and legal professionals and academics from the Athens Legal Tech initiative.
