Archimedes Leads EU-Funded AIRIS AI Project

AIRIS AI EU-funded project for trustworthy AI in biomedical research

Archimedes leads a global partnership for trustworthy AI in biomedical research through the EU-funded project AIRIS AI, led by Christos Diou, affiliated member of Archimedes and Associate Professor at Harokopio University of Athens.

AIRIS AI brings together partners from nine European countries, the United States and Canada. Over four years, the team will develop an AI collaborator that uses biological knowledge to help scientists understand complex diseases, identify disease pathways and generate new research hypotheses.

We are proud to see members of our community lead international collaborations of this scale, bringing trustworthy AI to some of the most challenging questions in biomedical research.

We wish Christos and the AIRIS AI team every success in the work ahead.
