Applications for the 2nd Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence for Middle and High School Students are Now Open!

The Preliminary Phase "Talos" of the Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (PDTN) is now open for online participation. This competition for middle and high school students will run from December 1, 2025 until March 1, 2026, and students will be asked to solve four problems: one on Decision Trees (Δεντρα Αποφασης), one on CAPTCHA Challenges (Επίλυση CAPTCHA), one for Emotion Classification (Συναισθηματα), and one on Movie Recommendation Systems (Επόμενη Ταινία).

The top four best-scoring students will be selected to participate in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), which will take place on August 2-8, 2026, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence is in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, the Ionian University, Greece, the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) in Greece, the University of West Attica, Athens, the University of Piraeus, Athens, and the National Centre For Scientific Research (NCSR) Demokritos, and is being co-organized by the Archimedes Unit of the Athena Research Center, Greece, the Greek Computer Society (EPY), the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Association (EETN), and the Hellenic Institute of Educational Policy.
