The Athens Colloquium on Algorithms and Complexity (ACAC) is an annual meeting in Athens aiming to bring together researchers working in all areas of the theory of algorithms and computational complexity. It serves as a lively forum for presenting research results that are in a preliminary stage or have been recently accepted / presented in some major conference. Contributions may appear, fully or partially, in informal electronic proceedings available only to the participants (subject to authors' approval). The language of the workshop is English.

Registration


There are no registration fees.

However, participants should register for administrative purposes, by filling the registration form no later than August 20, Wednesday.

 

Venue

The 20th Athens Colloquium on Algorithms and Complexity (ACAC) will take place at the Multimedia Amphitheater, Central Library Ground Floor, Zografos campus of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece.

You can arrive at the Central Library by various ways:

By public transport:

The easiest way is by taking the Blue Metro line (map) and getting off at the "ΚΑΤΕΧΑΚΗ" station. Then take the bus 242, get off at stop "ΘΥΡΩΡΕΙΟ" (you get off at the first stop inside the Campus) and walk 3 minutes towards the Central Library.

Another option is to take the bus 140 from the "ΚΑΤΕΧΑΚΗ" metro station and get off at stop "ΠΟΛΥΤΕΧΝΕΙΟΥΠΟΛΗ". Then get into the campus and walk 7 minutes towards the Central Library.

By taxi:

Taxi from the Katechaki ("ΚΑΤΕΧΑΚΗ") Station to NTUA will cost aproximately 7-10 €.

By car (or any other means):

Established in January 2022, as a research unit of the Athena Research Center with support from the Committee Greece 2021, ARCHIMEDES is funded for its first four years by the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).

First call for papers for the "Workshop on Dialects in NLP: A Resource Perspective" at the three-day Language Resources Association Conference (LREC) 2026. Vassilis Alimisis, a Postdoc at the Archimedes Unit of the Athena Research Center in Greece, a Collaborating Researcher at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens in Greece, an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Digital Industry Technologies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece, and a National Postdoctoral Research Fellow of the Bodossaki Foundation, Athens, Greece, will deliver a tutorial at the 2025 International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM), which will take place on 14-17 December 2025, in Cairo, Egypt.

Applications for the Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence for Middle and High School Students are Now Open!

The Preliminary Phase "Talos" of the Greek Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (PDTN) is now open for online participation. This competition for middle and high school students will run from December 1, 2025 until March 1, 2026, and students will be asked to solve four problems: one on Decision Trees (Δεντρα Αποφασης), one on CAPTCHA Challenges (Επίλυση CAPTCHA), one for Emotion Classification (Συναισθηματα), and one on Movie Recommendation Systems (Επόμενη Ταινία).

 
 

The project “ARCHIMEDES Unit: Research in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Algorithms” with code OPS 5154714 is implemented by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
