
Alkmini Sgouritsa

Alkmini Sgouritsa has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool since August 2019 and as a visiting researcher in the Geo Algorithm Group at Google Research, CA, USA since November 2021. She will soon start as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics at Athens University of Economics and Business (expected beginning of 2023). She previously held a Postdoctoral Research position at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbrücken, Germany (2018-2019), where she was awarded the Lise Meitner Postdoctoral Fellowship Award. She completed her PhD (2013-2017) at the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool, where her PhD thesis on Algorithms in a Game Theory Environment was second runner-up for the British Computer Society (BCS) Distinguished Thesis Award (2018).
