SHORT BIO
Nikos Vasilakis is on the faculty of the Computer Science department at Brown University and a member of its Data Science Institute. His research amplifies the capabilities of developers and data scientists dealing with vast complexities in data and workloads by automatically accelerating, securing, and correcting modern systems while maintaining strong—often formal—guarantees. His research has received several best paper awards and has led to the development of open-source ecosystems, e.g., supported by the Linux Foundation. Before joining Brown University, Professor Vasilakis was a research scientist at MIT. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
