SHORT BIO

Dr. Konstantinos Tsakalidis is an Assistant Professor (tenured) at the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool, UK. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Center for Massive Data Algorithmics (MADALGO), Computer Science Department, Aarhus University for the thesis “Orthogonal range queries and update efficiency”. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher the in the research teams of Ke Yi and Sunil Arya (HKUST), Yufei Tao (CUHK), Timothy Chan (Waterloo) and John Iacono (NYU Tandon). His main research interests are in algorithms and data structures, graph algorithms, dynamic and persistent data structures, external-memory algorithms, big data, machine learning and computational geometry.

The project “ARCHIMEDES Unit: Research in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Algorithms” with code OPS 5154714 is implemented by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
