
Katerina Adam
SHORT BIO
Katerina Adam is appointed as a post-doc researcher at the Archimedes Research Unit, working with Kostas Daniilidis. Katerina holds a PhD in computer vision from the National Technical University of Athens, supervised by Konstantinos Karantzalos. During her PhD, Katerina has been affiliated with the Czech Institute of Robotics and Cybernetics, working under the supervision of Torsten Sattler and Tomas Pajdla. Katerina also holds an MSc in Geoinformatics, from the National Technical University of Athens, and MEng from the same university. Previously she has been a research intern with Niantic Labs and Scape Technologies (now Meta Reality Labs). She has also collaborated as a Data Scientist and Research Associate with many Greek companies, and the Center of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). Katerina has conducted basic and applied research on topics in the intersection of machine learning, robotics, and computer vision and has published in leading top-tier conferences. In addition, she regularly performs educational activities, such as tutorials and teaching postgraduate courses. Katerina finally serves the community by organizing workshops (OpenSun3D for CVPR/ICCV), being a virtual chair for 3DV2022, and reviewing submissions for relevant conferences and journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Katerina’s research focuses on 3D computer vision. Her interests span different computer vision applications, including 3D reconstruction, 3D scene understanding, 3D change detection, and pose estimation. Her contributions mainly concern the usage of constraints imposed by images for the above tasks.
