Short Bio

Georgios Th. Papadopoulos is an Assistant Professor in the area of Computer Graphics and Computer Vision, at the Department of Informatics and Telematics of the Harokopio University of Athens, in Greece.

He received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece. He has worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Foundation For Research And Technology Hellas / Institute of Computer Science (FORTH/ICS) and the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas / Information Technologies Institute (CERTH/ITI). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed research articles in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine/deep learning, robotics and explainable artificial intelligence. Dr. Papadopoulos is a member of the IEEE and the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Research Interests

His research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, machine/deep learning, image and video processing, human-computer interaction, and explainable artificial intelligence.
