
Georgios Amanatidis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Essex since 2020. Until recently he was an associate member of the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam (2020-2021). Prior to joining the University of Essex, he spent one year as a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Sapienza University of Rome (2019-2020), and two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam (2017-2019). He holds a PhD in computer science from Athens University of Economics and Business, a MSc in mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Diploma in applied mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens. His research focuses on problems lying in the intersection of computer science and economics, often related to social choice theory. He is the recipient of an NWO Veni Grant (2020-24) in algorithmic fair division.
