Research Interests

Dimitris is primarily interested in mental health analysis & emotion detection with the use of multimodal and large language models. He is focused on the early intervention and detection of mental and neurodevelopmental disorders by leveraging affective features.

Short Bio

Dimitris is a PhD student at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a PhD Fellow at the Archimedes Research Unit of the Athena Research Center. Prior to starting his PhD, he worked as an AI engineer on sentiment analysis and topic labelling in the social media analytics sector, as well as time series classification and big data solutions in the energy sector. He has research experience in long term time series forecasting and time series anomaly detection. Dimitris holds an MSc in Data Science and Machine Learning and an MEng in Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences from the National Technical University of Athens.
