SHORT BIO

Dimitra is a computer vision engineer specializing in perception and holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Previously, she worked as a Computer Vision Engineer for perception at CNH, focusing on high-performance code optimized for embedded platforms. She was also affiliated with NCSR Demokritos, as a researcher in machine learning for optical remote sensing.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dimitra is a PhD fellow at the Archimedes Research Unit of the Athena Research Center, advised by Prof. Dimitrios Kanoulas (UCL). 
Her research interests include computer vision, visual perception and autonomous systems, with a focus on cognitive perception for robotics. Specifically, her research explores perception-driven navigation for legged robots in complex, unstructured environments.

 
 

The project “ARCHIMEDES Unit: Research in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Algorithms” with code OPS 5154714 is implemented by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
