SHORT BIO
Andreas is a PhD candidate jointly-enrolled at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and Archimedes AI, Data Science, and Algorithms Research Hub, where he is very fortunate to be co-advised by Prof. Ioannis Panageas (UC Irvine) and Prof. Aris Pagourtzis (CoReLab, NTUA). Prior to pursuing his PhD, Andreas obtained an M.Sc. in Data Science and Machine Learning, as well as a joint B.Sc.-M.Eng. degree in ECE with a major in Computer Science, all from NTUA.
During his master’s studies, he worked as an Applied Scientist intern (Level 4) at Amazon in Barcelona.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
In general, Andreas is interested in the intersection of game theory, online learning, and reinforcement learning.
Current areas of interest include:
- Computing/Learning equilibria in structured games (e.g., games with large action spaces, Markov games)
- Online learning and bandits (e.g., bandits with combinatorial structure)
- The computational complexity of hard problems in game theory and optimization
- Multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) under partial observability
