Title: On developing AI solutions and deploying them to mission operations

Speaker: Evridiki Ntagiou (Operations data and AI Engineer,ESA / ESOC (European Space Operations Centre) )

Abstract: Over the past few years, ESA’s European Space Operations Centre has been working on developing AI solutions and deploying them to mission operations. In this talk, we will present the domains that are considered most promising for mission operations, the first applications being developed, and the data foundation infrastructure layer that is needed to support the deployment of such AI solutions at scale. Future developments will also be presented.

Short Bio: Evridiki is a Computer and Electrical Engineer with a PhD AI for mission planning in satellite constellations, from a collaboration among the European Space Agency, Surrey Satellite Technology, and the University of Surrey. Since 2019, she has worked at the Agency’s  Operations Centre as an AI and Data Operations Engineer, leading Data Foundation and AI projects and co-leading the ESA-wide Digital Engineering AI subgroup.

This talk will be exclusively online through MS-Teams
